Carter Shocket

My curatorial practice centers and engages artists who are trans, queer, immigrants, artists of color, working-class, and avant-garde. I'm attracted to work that is funny, smart, experimental, absurd, poetic, and mythical. I especially love curating exhibitions with a mix of mediums, and organizing a flow of art that is clean, surprising, and engaging.

I am available for hire as a curator, event producer, host, interviewer, interviewee, visiting critic, art advisor, and more. I'm excited to hear about and be involved in new projects- email me to say hello! Carterjshocket@gmail.com
